Lead Delivery Driver – Installer
Job Type - Part Time & Full Time
You must be safe, handle merchandise efficiently and with care, avoid damage to customer property, deliver amazing customer service (to maximize repeat/referral business), accurately and timely process paperwork, and maintain constructing working relationships with your peers and management. Must be able to pass a drug test including marijuana and a background check.
Flexible schedule available.
$15.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on bonus and extras
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Drive Delivery Truck
- Deliver merchandise to customers.
- Work with assistant and be able to be the lead in the team.
- Completion of necessary paperwork, including delivery invoices and truck stop reports, according to company standards.
- Call customers to notify them of changes in delivery times.
- Notify supervisor of any customer complaint so the company can correct the problem.
- Preparing merchandise for delivery.
- Load truck with appliances and all necessary parts/items for installs if applicable.
- Drop and/or install appliances to customers (we provide training).
- Pick up and haul away old appliances if needed and drop in our yard for scrap pickup.
- Maintain and clean delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Attend training meetings, as required.
- Pick up merchandise from vendors, as required.
- Follow company policies regarding safety measures and precautions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 75 pounds without restriction.
- Employee must provide basic hand tools: tool box, cordless drill with bits, hammer, rubber mallet, screwdriver set, pliers and wire cutters, socket set, crescent wrench, box knife, etc.
- Have a driving record that is deemed acceptable by company insurer
- Note: This person will start as an Assistant Driver with the intention of transitioning into a Lead Driver.
- CDL NOT REQUIRED but a Drivers license is.
- Ability to pass a preemployment drug test (including marijuana) and criminal/background check
