We love our ice maker and host get togethers at our house a lot. Especially now with the pool and summer so the side tank accessory was a absolute must have for us! It compliments the machine perfectly and definitely makes things easier. I couldn’t imagine not having it! They belong together! If you like to entertain or have a larger family and invest in the machine do yourself a favor and make sure you get the side tank accessory! I absolutely recommend you make the investment! You will not be disappointed! If you don’t buy one you will be wishing you did.

The opal side tank adds a gallon of water to the opal ice maker, allowing you to make more ice. An additional 96 ounces of water may be stored in the side tank. The side tanks detach easily for cleaning and are secured in place by a cradle attachment that glides underneath the main ice maker. With the additional tank, you can minimize the need for frequent water trips and ensure that you always have enough ice when you need it. The opal side tank is elegantly designed. I highly recommended it!

I have the Opal nugget ice maker and it is a fantastic machine! The only thing that can make it better is having the side tank accessory to go with it. It is very convenient to have because you don’t have to fill the water reservoir as often with this accessory. Having it gives me about an extra week of use without having to fill with water. I use a lot of ice and this accessory is all about convenience for me. It is very well made and easy to install. I would highly recommend this added accessory to enhance your ice making experience!

If you already own the GE Profile Opal 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker, I highly recommend purchasing the side tank accessory. The side tank resolves the issue of having to refill the ice maker reservoir often allowing you to still have enough ice produced. This really comes in handy when you are entertaining or you are trying to fill several kids water bottles/really large water bottles for multiple people. We live in Texas and our children all play outdoor sports so we go through our ice quickly just filling-up water bottles; the side tank accessory is a must in our household. The side tank accessory is affordable and provides one less step for me so this product comes highly recommended...get one today, it will not disappoint!
