The Opal 2.0 ice maker makes great ice. Unfortunately it makes the loudest squeak/screeching. If you set it to make ice in the morning it will wake you up. I used the warranty and received a new unit, which is making the same noises. Two new units with the same loud noises can’t be a coincidence. The second one will randomly turn off. I expect much better for $579.
