Stoped working after a few months

It was great I loved the ice but 4 months later the ice machine stoped working it kept asking for more water when the tank and the reservoir were full and it also kept making a loud noise. A few days later I went to the store and i saw a person returning the exact same ice machine and they came across the same problems as my self and they also had only had it a few months. This product had a lot of potential however it just didn’t exceed its expectations. Ice was amazing while it lasted!

Absolutely LOVE this ice machine!! Perfect nugget ice! I've hear people say it can be noisy, but not nearly as much as my ice crunching. I would definitely recommend this machine.

We were so excited to get our Opal! It was a surprise for my husband and he was thrilled! One year into owning it along with regular cleaning as required mold appeared all in the tubing and bin. I reached out to GE and they offered a repair for almost as much as a new Opal. Not only will I never buy this again I will avoid all other GE appliances unless it’s my only option. I will repost later with a picture. Kim Gayle

We love this ice maker. This is a replacement for our first one. We scheduled repair of the original through the app. When the repairman called to verify the appointment, he indicated they don’t have replacement parts or service these ice makers. We would need to buy a new one. We tried to repair the original and completely broke it. I think maintaining it better (regular cleaning, periodically using vinegar/water mix to battle scale, etc) will make it last longer.

We have only had the ice maker for just over 2 months and we love it!!! It makes the soft chewy ice!!! Works like a champ we did add the side tank to keep up with the amount of ice we use and we added the inline water filter as some have suggested. We love it!!!
