With top-load washing machines coming in at only 3.2 cubic feet, many people falsely assume that Speed Queen cannot hold as much laundry, and this is not entirely true. While there are limitations, one thing that is important to note is that the cubic foot measurement we see listed on units is rated for the raw capacity of the wash tub, which does not factor in how much of the tub is actually usable once you’ve added clothes, water, and the wash mechanism like an agitator or impeller.
