Kelly's Cooking School Frequently Asked Questions
What do I bring?
If you are attending a demonstration based class, your appetite is the only thing required! We will provide you with a recipe packet, a pen for taking notes, food and drink.
If you are attending a hands-on class, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes with socks and secure hair shoulder-length and beyond with a ponytail, bun or braid.
For childrens cooking classes, we do provide aprons but they are also welcome to bring their own as well. Close toed shoes and secured hair is also recommended for children as well.
Do I register in advance?
Yes. We need to know how much food to purchase. Note that registering for a class does include payment upfront.
How much is a class?
Price is determined per class, so it is always best to check the current schedule to confirm pricing. You also may receive a discount if you sign up for our email list.
Are couples classes priced per couple or per individual?
They are priced per person.
What is the cancellation policy?
For adult classes, you may cancel up to 7 days in advance and receive a refund.
There is a NO refund policy with childrens classes unless we are able to fill the vacated space.
What happens if my class is cancelled?
Due to low registration, weather, and other circumstances, we occasionally cancel a class. A representative from Kelly’s will contact you to let you know if a class has been cancelled and to discuss the method of refund or store credit.
Do we do private classes, events, team-building exercises, or parties?
Yes we do! Please call the Kitchen Store at Kelly’s Home Center in Salem or email our chef Cleora to inquire about private events at firstname.lastname@example.org
I have a food allergy or restriction, can this be accommodated?
Food allergies can be slightly accommodated with advanced notice. Call for details at 503- 378-1793
